Driver leads police on high speed chase in Bourbon

A speeding driver in Bourbon tried to escape police, but instead crashed his car.

Police say the driver was going 71 in a 45 on Lincoln Highway and Elm Friday when an officer tried to pull him over.

Instead, he sped away and at times reached 115 miles an hour during the chase.

The driver lost control and rolled the vehicle several times.

Police say the driver had to be extricated from the car and was taken to the hospital.
