Firefighter hurt in Elkhart fire

A firefighter was injured fighting a fire in the 1200 block of Bristol street.

The fire department says there wasn't much damage to the home.

No visible flames, only smoke, was showing in the basement when crews arrived.

The firefighter was injured when he fell from the roof of the house after trying to ventilate it.

He was taken to the hospital with a back injury.
