It was a beautiful day to be out, and get free ice cream.
Today was the NIBCO Free Family Sunday on the Ruthmere Campus.
On the first Sunday of every month the public can tour Ruthomere Mansion and Havilah Bearsley House for free.
Today was also part of the 1st Source Bank Summer Fun Series with an Old Fashioned Ice Cream Social.
"It's just a great public event for us to have to show people what it's like to have a good ole' fashion ice cream social and get a flavor of the 19 teens era," says Ruthmere Museums executive director, Bill Firstenburger.
Along with free ice cream and tours, entertainment was provided by the 'Chain Gang Barbershop Quartet.
The event usually draws 700 to 800 people to the sites.
