It was a sibling lunch outing at the beach in Elkhart County Sunday.
It was the annual summer picnic for the Big Brothers Big Sisters program.
The organization matches mentors with youngsters.
The pairs spend between four and eight hours together a month.
Sunday, four outstanding volunteers were recognized for being some of the best big brothers and big sisters around.
"Whatever she gets out of it, I feel like I get ten-fold. I have a blast. If I'm having a bad day, I can hang out with Tory and immediately we're going to be laughing, we're gonna be silly, we're gonna be goofy," says mentor Samantha Crooks.
The agency also celebrated 40 years of providing mentors to young children in Elkhart County.
