Convicted rapist sentenced to 90 years in prison

A convicted rapist has been sentenced to 90 years in prison. In July Mwamba Ruffin pled guilty to raping two women back in 2006.

The charges had been filed against Ruffin back then, but he was in custody in another state, and was only recently returned to Indiana to face the charges against him.

Police say Ruffin raped one woman while posing as a maintenance worked at a Roseland motel, and another woman after pretending to ask for help at her home. The two crimes happened on the same day.

The judge sentenced Ruffin to 45 years in each of the cases. He will serve out the sentences after he finishes serving his time for an unrelated crime in another state.
