Four teens have been arrested in Syracuse, accused of stealing from a vehicle. Police were called out to a home on the 8100 block of E. Backwater Road in North Webster shortly after 4:00am on Friday.
Someone called police saying their car had been broken into. Police spotted four guys walking along State Road 13 near town before getting to the house. They found them again a short time later in Syracuse. Police say they found a bag with some of the stolen items in their possession.
Three of the suspects were eighteen. They are Brandan Lajoice of North Webster, Rice Islas of North Webster, Jacob Bonds Honea of Leesburg. The fourth suspect is a juvenile. The juvenile has been released to his parents.
The Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department is looking into whether the suspects are connected to other recent thefts from vehicles in the area this summer.
