Farmers are probably the worst hit by this year's drought, but for many of us our lawns took a pretty bad hit. If you're dealing with a damaged lawn, garden experts say now is the time to think about reseeding or resodding.
Make sure you get all the weeds up first, then rake, add seed, and then water, water, water. Don't drown the new seeded area, though.
Instead the experts recommend you water it lightly about two-to-three times a day. "You'll have a nice thick turf. If you get it planted here in August, the middle, end of September. It will be nice, thick and full and you'll be cutting and it will look great," says Master Gardener Steve Kruse.
Experts say they expect a big influx of people coming in to by seed because of the drought.
