Notre Dame shows off special uniforms for Soldier Field game

The Fighting Irish will be showing off some special uniforms when they take on the Miami Hurricanes for the Shamrock Series game at Soldier Field in Chicago on October 6.

The special TECHFIT uniforms from adidas feature blue jerseys with gold metallic numbers and "Irish" in a Celtic font. The pants are gold with a blue stripe and a Leprechaun graphic.

The biggest change may be the helmet. They'll be hold with a large blue section featuring a white Leprechaun graphic.

Along with the colors, adidas says the jerseys are 30 percent lighter than a normal jersey and have features to keep players cooler.

"The players absolutely love the uniforms designed by adidas for this game and they will help make it a memorable night," head coach Brian Kelly said in a release.
