Saint Mary's College students moved in to their residence halls Thursday.
First year students spent the majority of the day trying to organize their rooms and meeting their roommates.
This year's class has 418 women representing 32 states and five countries.
Many students are excited for school and to be on their own.
Freshman Maggie Kane said, "It's looking pretty good, pretty nice getting help from mom and dad."
"I'm really excited for the nursing program,meeting people here and my roommate is real nice. It's going to be awesome," said freshman Sarah Mott.
And a reminder, Notre Dame students will be moving in to their dorms August 17th.
