Emergency crews evacuated a Goshen business and took several people to the hospital due chemical fumes.

It happened at Benteler Automotive on Eisenhower Drive on the south side of Goshen starting around 9:00 Friday morning.

Goshen Fire crews tell FOX28 a sub-contractor was cleaning out a tank and some chemical fumes got into the main part of the building. Firefighters reported that the smell was oily and that it possibly spread through the air conditioning system.

24 people were taken to a Goshen hospital, where they were treated and released.
