The Saint Joseph County Prosecutor's
Office says they have started a criminal investigation into the Olive Township
Trustee's Office.
The investigation was launched after
a State Board of Accounts report that showed several withdrawals from casinos using
the Township Trustee's ATM card.
The Prosecutor's
Office says St. Joseph County Police Detectives and the State Examiner/State
Board of Accounts are taking part in the investigation. The Prosecutor will
decide whether or not to present the matter to a Grand Jury at the completion of
the criminal investigation.
