UPDATE: 7 year old dies after Elkhart shooting

We have an update for you on a story we first reported to you on Friday.

A seven-year-old girl who was shot outside a home in Elkhart, has died.

Elkhart police say Kristyana Jackson and John Jackson were both shot in the 700 block of Kilbourn Street around 10:45 Friday night.

John was taken to the hospital and later released.

Kristyana died in the hospital this afternoon.

Police are still looking for suspects.
