We're getting to know a little more about the plans for the Old Saint Joseph High School building.
University of Notre Dame went before the "Area Plan Commission today" at the County-City building.
Notre Dame wants the building re-zoned... so it can be used as a temporary place for staff.
"The use for the old high school building at this point in time is swing space," said Notre Dame's Assistant V.P. Public Affairs Tim Sexton. "We do a lot of building and construction on campus and often times that's renovating existing buildings with office faculty and staff. We need temporary locations for those folks."
The university plans to use the building as is.
The commission approved the plan.
So the next stop is to get approval from the board of zoning appeals.. and then it goes to the two councils for their votes.
