Bicyclist injured after car rear-ends bike

A bicyclist is being treated at a South Bend hospital after his bike was rear-ended by a car.

The Elkhart County Sheriff's Department says Josey Slabaugh was biking on US-6 near CR-100 around 5:00am when a car driven by Dion Beadin hit the bike from behind.

Police are still investigating the cause of the crash. No one has been cited for any violations at this time.
