Friends and Family gathered to say Farewell to the 428th Military Police Company in Mishawaka Saturday.
The Army Reserve Unit is being deployed to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
Mishawaka Mayor Dave Wood, South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg, and more wished them well on their journey.
For James Enochs he'll be leaving his wife Amanda and nine month old daughter Emma, but he appreciates the sendoff from his family and community.
"It means morale, for soldiers especially. It shows that the community cares about their soldiers and care what they do," says Enochs.
The soldiers leave Monday to train first at Fort Bliss, Texas.
They'll arrive at Guantanamo Bay in early October.
