The Elkhart community poured their hearts out and raised over $4,000 Sunday for the family of 7 year old Kristyana Jackson.
Jackson was shot in a home invasion August 17th.
Money raised Sunday in a car wash, bake sale and raffle will go directly to the Jackson family for funeral and medical expenses.
Carwash organizer, Heather Burkhead, says 16 local restaurants donated food for 50 plus volunteers.
Burkhead says the family is grateful for the support.
"They're astonished by the community outreach here. They never thought it would be this big, I never thought it would be this big. Like I said, the community has came by in leaps and bounds," says Burkhead.
The carwash started at 11 in the morning and Burkhead said there was a constant line until the rain chased them away around 5pm.
