Fireworks to bring “Thunder at the Cove” for second time

Call it an encore performance.

The South Bend Silver Hawks say they will host the largest fireworks game in Coveleski Stadium history for a second time Monday evening.

Just two weeks ago, the Hawks hosted a 14-minute show they say attracted nearly record attendance.

"Our fans asked for another incredible fireworks show, and we listened," said Silver Hawks President Joe Hart.

The fireworks will take place after the Hawks game against the Bowling Green Hot Rods. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.

Monday night is also "Belly Buster Monday," where fans can get $12 tickets that feature all-you-can-eat hot dogs, hamburgers, peanuts and popcorn.
