It was standing room only at a Redevelopment Commission meeting Tuesday night.
People who live in the Fellows-Chippewa-Ireland corridor spoke their mind in front of the commission.
They commented about 6 different plans proposed for the Fellows Street bridge and U.S. 31 construction project.
The project as it was proposed last winter would have taken out 30 homes and people who live in that neighborhood were fired up.
Now, one group of neighbors wants the original plan to go through because they've already made plans to move.
But others are still fighting to keep their homes.
Bill Schalliol with the Business Development Department says, "Public input is the only way this project is gonna move forward. We can say this is where we're gonna go and this is what we're gonna do without a buy in from the neighborhood. We heard lots of good comments tonight. We can go back and address and we'll work to do that over the next couple of days."
Schalliol says after taking public input into consideration, they will make a full presentation about what they believe will be the best option for the project.
They hope to do that on September 13th.
