Elkhart County deputies are searching
for a suspect in a Thursday home invasion.
It
happened around 3:00 Tuesday afternoon at a home in the 19000-block of County
Road 20, near Pleasant
View Mennonite
Church.
According
to police, a man at the home says a white male in his early 20's broke into the
home armed with a machete-type knife. After a struggle, where the victim says
he received a cut to his hand, the suspect was chased from the house. The victim
says the suspect ran to a small white pick-up truck, driven by another white
man in his 20's, in the Pleasant
View Mennonite
Church parking lot. The
two then drove south on County Road 23.
The
victim was treated by medics and the scene.
