A former administrative assistant at the Penn Township Trustee's office will pay back more than $39,000 as part of a plea agreement in a ghost employment case.
The Saint Joseph County Prosecutor's Office says Sarah Sharp pleaded guilty to felony charges of Ghost Employment and Conflict of Interest on Wednesday.
Sharp was accused of taking money from her boyfriend, former Penn Township Trustee Jeffrey Dean, for cleaning work she never finished. Dean was sentenced in July to serve 3 months in prison after pleading guilty to Official Misconduct and Conflict of Interest. He was scheduled to begin his sentence on August 20.
Sharp is scheduled to be sentenced in October.
