Update to Armed Robbery:

A Warsaw couple is currently being held in the Whitley County Jail on numerous charges including an armed robbery from Kosciusko County.
Christopher Gressley and Anita Moore of Warsaw were arrested Friday evening and are being held on numerous charges by both Whitley and Kosciusko County. The arrest happened Friday evening around 6:41 p.m. when South Whitley officers were investigating a stopped van just outside of town.
During the course of their stop, Gressley and Moore were both found to have suspended driver's license. Officers also noted that their two small children appeared to have not been taken care of properly and Child Protective Services were contacted. During the inventory of the van, officer's located synthetic marijuana and devices used to smoke the substance. Both Gressley and Moore were transported to the Whitely County Jail as the children were taken into protective custody.
On Saturday, information was obtained that Gressley and Moore could possibly be the sought after couple from the Leesburg Freedom Express convenience store armed robbery in Kosciusko County on Friday afternoon. South Whitely officers had originally located a knife belonging to Gressley that was later determined to have been the weapon allegedly used during the gas station hold-up.
Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department detectives went to the Whitley County Jail and interviewed both Gressley and Moore who confessed to the Leesburg armed robbery involvement.
Both Gressley and Moore are being held on preliminary charges of neglect of a dependent, possession of a controlled substance and possession of paraphernalia.
Gressley was also charged with driving while suspended and currently has a bond of $27,500 while Moore has a bond of $24,000 in Whitley County.
Armed Robbery charges are pending.

County Sheriff's Department is looking for a suspect in the armed robbery of a Leesburg gas station. Police say there might have been kids in the getaway vehicle.
It happened just before 1:30 Friday afternoon at the Freedom Express station on North Main Street. Witnesses tell police a man in his mid to late 20's filled up his vehicle with gas, then entered the store and started to grab grocery items while commenting his that his wife had just been to a doctor's appointment on Thursday for her pregnancy.
Police say the man approached the clerk with a knife and demanded cash. Police say he got an undisclosed amount of cash and drove off in a tan minivan. Inside the van, witnesses say there was a white woman with short, curly brown hair and two children, one believed to be a 4 to 6-year-old girl with blond hair.
The suspect is described as a white man in his mid to late 20's with short blonde hair that is spiked on top, about 5'6" to 5'8", weighing 120-130 pounds, and wearing a black T-shirt with jeans.
