Tyler Road to be closed for bridge construction

Tyler Road will be closed for bridge construction over the Yellow Bank Creek in St. Joseph County.

The Department of Public Works says the work is necessary to complete the project.

The road will be closed from State Road 23 to Sweetbrier Road.

Traffic traveling east on Tyler Road will follow State Road 23 North to Sweetbrier Road, South on Sweetbrier Road and back on to Tyler Road.

Westbound traffic will follow the same detour in reverse order.

However, homes and businesses will still be accessible.

Work begins September 4th and should be completed by November 16th.
