Folks in Nappanee are fighting back against crime. They spent the night out Tuesday to focus in on crime prevention.
The Nappanee Neighborhood Watch group says the best part about the annual night out event is that it gives people a chance to meet officers in a non-threatening environment.
"You feel more comfortable with them when you see them out of the context of their job," says Neighborhood Watch Coordinator Bonnie Hochstetler. "Hopefully they feel more comfortable with us."
Police, fire and EMS all took part in Tuesday's Night Out Against Crime.
