Notre Dame Athlete Lindsay Brown will grace the cover of the October "Pretty Amazing" issue of "Seventeen."
Brown plays soccer at N-D. She also created a non-profit called "SEGWAY." The international program helps empower girls through soccer in places like Nepal. It gives them skills to escape the cycle of poverty and "segway" into becoming strong leaders.
"It's surreal being on the cover of Seventeen Magazine and it's just so exciting to know 13 million girls are going to read the story about my girls in Nepal," Brown says. "I really hope readers are inspired to think about the ways they can make a difference in someone else's life."
Brown wrote an essay that caught the attention of Seventeen's editors. She then went to New York for interviews and photo-shoots before she was finally picked for the cover.
