A possible burglary suspect that led police on a short chase is in custody, but another may still be on the loose.
Elkhart Police tell FOX28 News that they were called out to a burglary at 17th and Hively. There they found a suspect vehicle that they were forced to chase for a few minutes. One person jumped out of the vehicle, but the truck kept going.
Police caught the guy that jumped out of the truck and a K-9 unit from the Elkhart County Sheriff's Department was called in to search for the possible second suspect.
The K-9 unit searched in fields near Mishawaka Rd. and Nine and police set up a perimeter around the area, but no one was apprehended.
Detectives are now interviewing the captured suspect for more information. FOX28 will continue to update you as this story develops.
