Stretch of Locust Road closed Monday

Drivers in South Bend will want to be aware of a road closure beginning Monday.

Locust Road will be closed between Roosevelt and Kern Roads. Crews are going to be working on replacing a drainage pipe beneath the road.

That means drivers will be detoured using Myrtle Road. The construction will be in effect until September 21 if weather permits.
