An update tonight on the 9-11 rescue dog who got a stem cell transplant in Michiana.
We followed 14-year-old Hoke through an experimental stem cell therapy for arthritis at Western Veterinary Clinic in South Bend in December.
Hoke's owner, Julie Noyes of Lebanon, sent us this new picture.
She says the Medi-Vet stem cell treatment has been success and has made him stronger.
Having said that, his mental health is slipping slightly because of his old age and he's still having a hard time going up and down the stairs.
She believes he has a few months left of living, but she stresses he is enjoying laying in the grass and taking short walks in the park.
And he's getting all the ice cream and pizza he wants.
