An early morning car accident on Friday left one person dead and two people injured.
According to police, around 7:40 a.m. they were dispatched to John Weaver Parkway, just south of County Road 6. Upon arrival, they found two people in a car and another person inside a SUV.
Police say one of the vehicles crossed into the grass median and then got t-boned by the other vehicle. The driver of the car was taken to South Bend Memorial Hospital while the female passenger was transported to Elkhart General Hospital where she had died. The driver of the SUV was also taken to Elkhart General but was treated and released.
