The New Prairie Invitational is the largest cross country meet in the state. Saturday, the girls course record set by Waverly Neer was crushed...not once, but twice.
Mishawaka Sophomore Anna Rohrer beat Neer's record by 40 seconds, finishing with a time of 17:14.1. That's the 4th fastest time in the nation.
Warsaw's Ashley Erba also beat Neer's record by 29 seconds. The defending state champ finished 2nd.
Penn's Maddie Woods was third.
