Victim of weekend South Bend shooting identified

The St. Joseph County Prosecutors Office has identified the victim of the shooting on Washington and Dundee this past weekend. Police were responding to reports of gunfire where they found the body of 16-year-old Jhaelon Johnson lying on the sidewalk.

Autopsy results say Johnson died from a single gunshot wound to the head. Metro Homicide Cmdr. Tim Corbett tells FOX28 News that two other people were also shot, but are expected to recover.

This is one of three shootings that happened early Sunday morning in South Bend. FOX28 News is following all of the investigations and will update you as soon as we know more.
