Excitement for Notre Dame football doesn't just happen on campus. Businesses near campus benefit from local fans and visitors alike. Managers tell us they planed to stay open as long as football fans need food and drinks Saturday night. Without looking at their watches, business owners know when Notre Dame is ready to take the field. "A lot of times when the game first starts we get a lot of our regular customers in and not just game day customers because they know everyone's going to the game and they can sneak in a get their Between the Buns stuff," said Between the Buns Director of Operations, Tania Arthur.
We also popped over to Papa Johns. They told us they were a lot busier than last year's USC night game. Instead of one rush, they've were very busy all day. The manager said also expected to get slammed at around 11 o'clock when the game was ending, and called for extra help from other stores.
