Four people were hurt in a fire in downtown Elkhart that damaged three buildings early Sunday morning.
It started at 615 East Street and spread to the Lifeline youth center building and an apartment building.
Firefighters had to pull three people out.
They were flown to Fort Wayne for burns and smoke inhalation.
A firefighter was also injured when he was hit by a master water stream.
No word yet on what started the fire.
It took about three hours for the Elkhart fire department to get the fire under control with the help of Osolo and Concord townships.
