Today's fall-like temperatures made for an inviting environment for learning and exploration.
Families took full advantage of the 'Fly into Fall' activities at the Bendix Woods County Park.
Visitors were able to get a close look at birds, and hayrides were offered to give folks a chance to relax while eating s'mores made over a campfire.
"It's just a fun family event. Just to get us outside and do something fun for the day," says Fly into Fall visitor Christa Rose.
About 250 people came out to enjoy the festivities.
