SBFD hopes to help "Extinguish" Breast Cancer

The South Bend Fire Department unveiled this year's pink t-shirt Monday.  The shirt features a design by two Lasalle Intermediate students with the words, "Extinguish Cancer."

You can purchase one of the new shirts at the Local 362 Union Hall located at 4025 Lincoln Way West.  They're $15 a piece.

The proceeds will help the "Young Survivors" group.  "These guys wearing pink shirts out in the community, if you're not going to stop and look at that, what else are you looking at," says the group's organizer Kim Zobrosky.  "That is going to catch your attention in five seconds or less."

The group is thrilled to be teaming up with the fire department.  "This is getting our message out," Zobrosky says.  "These wonderful firemen are sticking together for a cause."
