Another inmate fails to return to Elkhart County correctional facility

Another person from an Elk County correctional facility was let go on a weekend pass and then never came back.

The Elkhart County Sheriff's Department says 60-year-old Terry Pennix was given a weekend pass on Sunday with the instructions to return that evening. As of Wednesday, Pennix had still not returned to the facility.

This makes the fourth inmate to either escape or not return to a correctional facility in Elkhart County in the last month, and at least eight since April.

Anyone with information on Pennix's whereabouts is asked to contact the Elkhart County Sheriff's Department.
