Governor Mitch Daniels talked jobs today in Michiana. RACO, a division of Hubbell Incorporated, is relocating some of its operation back to South Bend. The company specializes in steel electrical boxes and covers.
They're going to renovate a facility close to its headquarters and add up to 77 jobs by 2015.
Governor Daniels spoke about the importance of adding jobs to the city and state. "I'm happy on so many levels. Anytime new jobs come to Indiana we're happy. When it comes from a neighboring state honestly in a tough competition its a good sign about the business climate we've built," Daniels said.
The facility will open in spring 2013. You could call this a homecoming for RACO since it was founded in South Bend in 1928.
