It was a beautiful day to get outside Saturday and you could visit local parks for free. In honor of National Public Lands Day St. Joseph County Parks let visitors in for free. All the great outdoor activities like hiking, fishing, and canoeing could be enjoyed without opening up your wallet, which was a very pleasant surprise for those who visited the park. Jeff Chance said, "I think it's a great thing to get people to come out and enjoy the beautiful river."
All National Parks were also free Saturday.
