News Release From: Indiana Department of Transportation:
The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announces the closure of State Road 331 (Capital Avenue) between Lincolnway and Jefferson Boulevard beginning Monday, October 1st through Saturday, October 13th. Crews will realign the intersection of Capital Avenue and Lincolnway. When the work is complete the intersection will be just east of the current configuration.
Currently Capital Avenue is closed between 12th Street and Lincolnway for railroad track relocation. Crews will reopen that stretch on October 1st as the closure between Lincolnway and Jefferson Boulevard goes into effect.
A detour will take northbound drivers west on S.R. 933 (Lincolnway), north on S.R. 23, and south on S.R. 331. Southbound drivers will travel north on S.R. 331, south on S.R. 23, and east on S.R. 933.
In the coming weeks, access to The Res Nature Center will switch to the new permanent entrance by way of East 7th Street.
