17 percent of families in Northern Indiana don't know where their next meal is coming from. That's why a group walked miles through South Bend today. They were walking for hunger in the annual crop walk. The event raises money for hungry families in Indiana and around the globe. One of the event organizers Betsy Lattanner said, "we have always said that we walk because they walk. Because people in places like Africa have to walk for their water and walk for their food."
The annual walk is organized by Church World Service. Each year members of churches, mosques, synagogues, and other organizations participate.
