Fire Crews were called to an apartment fire in South Bend.
It happened at the North Shore Apartments in the 14-hundred block of Northside Boulevard early this afternoon.
Investigators say the cause was an unattended pan on the stove.
The fire was kept to one apartment on the second floor.
"They were able to get some units inside the building very quickly to extinguish the fire," said South Bend Fire Department Fire Chief Stephen Cox. "Although the fire had extended into the attic we were able to punch through the roof to ventilate the fire."
No injuries were reported.
Damage is estimated at $100,000.00.
