The County Council of St. Joseph County has sent a letter to the South Bend Common Council regarding the "tapes saga" that's been dominating headlines for months.
The letter expresses support for the South Bend Common Council's "efforts in attempting to heal our community."
The letter, which is dated September 25, 2012, says the controversy involving the tapes in the Communications Center is "having a negative impact throughout our community, not just within the City of South Bend."
It closes by saying, "For the sake of the entire community, it is our hope that these matters be resolved in a more timely manner, and if necessary through our local courts."
