Two men are now in custody for a chase that ended when an officer was shot at. It happened near Ford and Brookfield streets Tuesday afternoon. The officer was not hit by the gunfire but the gun is still missing. 36 year-old Joseph Fuentes and 37 year-old Jaime Duron are now being held in connection with the incident. The prosecutor is preparing charges to present to the courts for approval.
It all started when police were called to Ford Street for some sort of argument or disturbance Tuesday afternoon.
That's when the suspect took off in a car.
After police chased him for a short time, he got out and started
running, firing shots at an officer. Luckily, nobody was hit.
The suspect hid in a vacant house a few blocks away from the initial scene. That's where police found him, and arrested him.
