Elkhart Mayor Dick Moore is releasing new details about proposed increases to your wastewater bill. The reason for the increase? To comply with an EPA mandated program. The mayor said the proposal would raise your rates In 2013 by about $6.36 cents a month, About $2 in 2014, and $3.85 in 2015. These rate increases would fund a federal program to upgrade the Wastewater Treatment Facility and decrease the number of sewage overflows into rivers.
