Clay Fire hosted a Citizen's Fire Academy Thursday. The academy combines classroom discussion with hand on exercises.
Thursday's event was the first in a series that will be held once a week, each Thursday in October and the first two Thursdays in November, from 6:00pm - 9:00pm.
The goals of the academy is to give folks a first hand look at what it takes to be a firefighter, and to "provide an interactive forum for both the Clay Fire Territory and the citizens to share information and concerns."
