Victim identified in fatal SR-331 accident

Police have identified the South Bend man killed Thursday in a crash on SR-331.  They say 20-year-old Kevin Slisz died just before 3:00pm at an area hospital due to injuries suffered in the crash.

Slisz was reportedly walking his bike south in the northbound lane when he was hit by an SUV, throwing him into a ditch.

The driver of the SUV involved, 33-year-old Holly Huntington of Bremen, suffered minor injuries and was treated and released.

The St. Joseph County Police Department is continuing to investigate.  Anyone with information about the crash is asked to contact Capt. James Rutkowski at 574-235-9871.
