T-Shirts were on display at Goshen's First Friday, and they certainly carried a special meeting.
The Elkhart County Women's Shelter put the shirts on display to spread awareness about domestic violence. They were hung above the lawn of the Goshen Courthouse.
An organizer says the shirts symbolize the voices of survivors. "We've had the women who've resided at the Elkhart County women's shelter over the past few months create them and use this as an artistic venue to really be their voice, messages of hope, pain, and to other women," says Shelter Director Carrie Zickefoose.
If you missed the shirt display today, you have another chance to see them. They'll be on display at Grace Community Church in Goshen on October 13th.
