An update tonight... to a mother's inspiring story out of St. Joseph Michigan.
Mindy Flowers-Daisy took the first step in a long journey this morning...
She's walking from St. Joe to Ann Arbor.
That's where her son Kory fought his battle with Lukemia. He passed away two years ago.
Mindy started a charity called Pennies from Heaven after his death. The walk is her first event to raise money for the charity.
She says she felt like she just had to start walking!
You're in the hospital a lot of the time and you sit and you sit... I was so tired of sitting and I decided to get up and walk after he passed away and walking became therapy for me."

The charity will help adults ages 21-30... to help with living expenses during their battle with cancer.
