Notre Dame coach Brian Kelly's decision to bench Everett Golson shocked fans Saturday. Kelly says Golson violated team rules. But after Tommy Rees started on the opening drive, Golson was put in.
He went on to play mistake free, 17-of-22 for 186 yards.
Kelly says he stands by his decision. "We have high standards and we hold all of our players to that standard," Kelly said.
