Michigan Street Bridge restricted Wednesday and Thursday

State Road 933 (Michigan Street) will be have lane restrictions on the bridge over the St. Joseph River in South Bend this week.

One lane in each direction will be closed Wednesday and Thursday. Crews will be working to sandblast and seal the bridge.

Since the project is slated to be done by Thursday, crews do not expect that they will interfere with this weekend's Notre Dame-Stanford game or the arrival of ESPN's College Gameday crew on Friday night. Michigan Street serves as the main road from downtown South Bend to Notre Dame's campus.
