The City of LaPorte will be kicking off Halloween a little early this year with the finale of their 2nd Saturdays series. October 13 will mark the city's "Spooktacular" event.
Families are encouraged to come out for the event and enjoy a number of attractions. There will be hay rides sponsored by the Hensler Nursery. The Michiana Antique Auto Club will be there for a Spooky Car Show. Local businesses on main roads like Lincolnway, State Street, Jefferson Avenue and Indiana Avenue will have extended hours as well.
The event takes place from 5-8 p.m. Central Standard Time. Second Saturdays is supported by downtown businesses along with the Greater LaPorte Chamber of Commerce. The 2nd Saturday Series will resume in June of 2013.
